Growing up as a competitive downhill ski racer I’ve chanced the rush for speed all over the globe. From racing at my local hill at Big White skiresort to training in South America, France, Italy and in Germany with the junior national ski team, I have had the need for speed and adventure. My competitive nature and exploration has always found itself through my passion of architecture and design. And continues to push me on new backpacking excursions, seek comfort within discomfort, and allows myself to discover more of who I want to evolve to be.Through the early stages of my career, I have created design concepts, developed tender packages, and initiated residential designs. Most recently, as a solo project, I embodied a Scandinavian design into an integrated health clinic from an old commercial office in Lake Country, B.C. This experience allowed me to work directly with the client, project manager, and commercial contractor. In this project, I was able to lead the client through all phases of design and incorporate their every need by working through building codes, selection of materials, floor plan, and interior design. The project was completed successfully, is within budget and the client is thrilled with the design. Most importantly, the project has enabled the client’s vision to become a reality.I have proven to be a strong team player who thrives when given tangible design problems. My genuine passion for architecture drives me to build on these skills and think critically when problem solving.
