Ran Zhang


Ran Zhang is interested in researching sensuous materiality and attention to place. He has worked in the accounting industry many years prior to his architecture education at University of Calgary. Ran grew up in Beijing, China and immigrated to Canada in 2009. Since arriving he has taken up a number of outdoor pursuits including mountain climbing, backpacking, and skiing. He has also been a volunteer with The Strongest Oak Foundation – delivering high-impact, sustainable, educational and social projects to West Africa.

  • Assist in research of concept, benchmarks, materials, typology, and precedents.
  • Utilizes BIM technologies in the development of three dimensional models of buildings and their components.
